In 1989, I decided to get envolved in the crafting and manufacturing side of the jewelry business. I sat as an apprientice under a fantastic jeweler, Rolex certified watchmaker and respected friend. With his direction I learned wax carving, model-making, casting, stone-setting and many delicate types of jewelry repairs. We serviced several large retail chains by offering repair services and custom manufacturing. When my mentor retired from the jewelry business, I opened The Jewelry Studio. I serviced the retail chains with repairs, manufacturing custom work and added training in new merchandise sales, repair sales and custom design sales.
In 1996, I began my gemological studies with GIA ( the Gemological Institute of America) having earned certificates in Diamonds, Diamond Grading, Colored stones, Colored-stone Grading and continually updating Gem Identification .
I have completed the requirements of GIA to be awarded the title of Gemologist(GIA).
I have also completed the GIA Insurance Replaement Appraisal Certification. This Certificate acknowledges studies in writting insurance replacement appraisals. Appraisal and valuation therory specificaly geared to the appraising of jewelry for insurance purposes.
In 1998, I was brought to central Mississippi by a family who owned a very prestigious fine jewelry store in Highland Village, Jackson, MS.
In 2007, we opened The Jewelry Studio , in Ridgeland MS., A personal and warm fine jewlery showroom for selecting loose stones and offering custom made fine diamond jewelry. We have found, through private appointments by referal, we are able to give each client the attention our clients deisre. Now in 2009, the showroom is closed and I work with our custom jewelry clients strickly by appointment, privatley in their home or office.
To date (2009), I have worked on, repaired and manufactured literally thousands of fine jewelry pieces.
In October 2009, I recieved the honor of my work being juried and recieved by the Mississippi Craftsmans Guild. The Guild's membership is made up of craftsmen from around the country. Thank you for the honor!

This is a community band comprised of musicians from around the Jackson, MS area who actively donate their time to forward the music culture in the Jackson area.
