The customer had a 6.5mm deep X 11mm diameter purple cabchon sapphire. The size of the stone was quite irregular, but the customer wanted something bold...but with filigree. She specifically wanted it in two-tone white and yellow. We selected the # 9029 mounting without the cluster top. He then sized the ring and refinished the ring with a flat top. He made a hand carved bezel of 14kt yellow to fit the purple sapphire. He soldered the bezel in place , then set the stone and finished out the polishing. Eddie then masked the rim and base of the mounting then rhodium plated the filigree artwork. The client loved it! Thank you for sharing it with us too, Eddie.
