The Appraisal Foundation was commissioned by Congress to provide Rules and Standards by which the appraisal industry operates. These Rules and Standards are known as USPAP. Uniformed Standards for Professional Appraisal Practice. The video describes what a credible appraisal is and what it should contain. Unfortunately, only Real-estate Appraisers are subject by law to follow them. Personal Property Appraisers are not bound to follow them.
